Bishopstrow College is co-educational international boarding school located in Wiltshire, South East England. Bishopstrow is the UK’s only independent preparation school, entirely dedicated to helping international students prepare for entry into the UK’s leading boarding schools.
From the moment students arrive at Bishopstrow, they are immersed and integrated into British life and culture. Throughout their stay, which lasts at least one term or more, they receive intensive preparation for entry into the very best schools in the country. They also offer a one year IGCSE/Pre-IB Programme providing international students with access to Sixth Form at some of the UK top schools. Bishopstrow has over 100 partner schools making the process for students integrated.
Bishopstrow also offers a five-week Academic Summer Programme aimed at international students who will be joining British boarding schools in September or those who wish to sample British education in the summer.
Academic
The College offers a range of programmes to help students improve their language skills, through intensive English language tuition, immerse them in the National Curriculum in a number of subjects including Mathematics, Geography, History and Science, through the College’s Lower, Middle and Upper College Programmes and Prepare students for placement tests for UK independent schools.
Students benefit from small class sizes, with a maximum of eight students in each English class, allowing very high levels of individual teacher time. An Individual Learning Plan is prepared for every student, detailing progress, areas for improvement and recommendations for the next level.
Wellbeing
Students’ safety and welfare is taken extremely seriously and the College’s pastoral care has been judged an area of strength. Fully-qualified staff are always available to discuss personal and health matters with students.

Bishopstrow College delivers a full boarding experience to prepare students first-hand for boarding school life.
Extra-curricular
The College’s extracurricular programme includes a range of daily traditional British sports, morning and evening clubs and activities, designed to foster team spirit and the confidence to integrate with others when students move on.
The weekend programme consists of fully-supervised trips allowing students to discover places of cultural, geographical and historical interest; others encourage students to sample the great outdoors through walking, hiking, cycling and other physical pursuits. The programme provides context within which speaking and listening skills are put to the test; they are also great fun and provide memories to last a lifetime.
