Location
Taunton School International is part of Taunton School, a traditional boarding school in southwest England. The safe and secure campus on the edge of town enjoys views over the hills and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Taunton School International Middle School is located in The Grange, a beautiful, traditional manor house close to Taunton School. Thanks to excellent road and rail links, Taunton School International is only 1 hour and 45 minutes from Heathrow Airport, 45 minutes from Bristol Airport by road, and easily accessible by train.

 

Courses
Our Summer School is the perfect preparation programme for students who are going on to a British boarding school. The school runs highly regarded three week academic summer programmes for Juniors (7-12) and Seniors (13-17) and have launched four new courses due to demand – Junior Multi-Sports, Science, Technology and Engineering, and GCSE and Sixth Form Pre-Sessionals These range from 2 weeks to 10 days.

The Senior Academic Summer courses combine intensive English tuition with other academic subjects and is excellent preparation for GCSEs, A Levels and the IB Diploma. Lessons are complemented by a full leisure programme including sports as well as a varied programme of activities and excursions to local cities and places of interest.

 

Our Junior Academic Summer courses are based at our International Middle School using all their excellent facilities. The teachers are qualified primary and secondary school teachers who have an understanding of the way that younger children learn and play. Students study a range of subjects and there are trips and excursions as part of their lessons as well as a full programme of sports and cultural activities.

The new Junior Multi Sports Programmes are two-week courses in which the students will receive 15 hours of English per week as well as try a different sport each day.

 

For the Seniors, the two-week Science, Technology and Engineering programmes are a new addition to our offering in which students receive 3 hours of English tuition per day as well as two hours of hands-on practical Science, Technology and Engineering work.

Our GCSE and Sixth Form Pre-sessionals are 10 day courses designed to give students a boost before joining a GCSE, A Level or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

The Summer School is very popular, as it provides a well-supervised, structured and academic course in a safe environment. Fees are all inclusive, and include airport transfers to selected airports.

 

Accommodation and care
Students live in comfortable boarding houses on campus and are cared for by dedicated staff. Students are supervised 24 hours a day and medical cover is provided.
