About

d’Overbroeck’s is a selective, highly ranked day and boarding school for students aged 13-18. Located in North Oxford, d’Overbroeck’s has built a very strong reputation for its distinctive and highly successful ethos and for the excellence of its educational provision.

Academic

d’Overbroeck’s accepts international boarders from the age of 13+ onto pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, Study Abroad and A-Level programmes. We offer a wide range of 36 A-Level subjects and a comprehensive academic enrichment programme to stretch our students beyond the standard curriculum.

Wellbeing

Reports are sent to parents four times a year. These are fairly frank in style clearly setting out areas of strengths and areas for development. On entry into Sixth Form, each student is assigned a Director of Studies (DoS). Unlike the more common tutor group arrangement, this is a highly individual relationship forged through frequent one-on-one meetings and discussions. Each Director of Studies takes care of, on average, 10 – 15 students for the duration of their time in the Sixth Form.

Boarding

Each of our boarding houses are run by a highly experienced Head of House and an Assistant, who look after students and make sure their time there is comfortable and enjoyable. We also have a School Nurse, and three Day Matrons who look after students’ general health and wellbeing.

Extra-curricular

The Super-curricular programme at d’Overbroeck’s is a specially developed and vibrant academic enrichment programme for Sixth Form students seeking to explore their interests in greater depth outside the confines of their regular studies. Super-curricular is designed to take the curriculum further, and is essentially a range of activities (extra engagement with certain subjects and topics beyond the conventional curriculum) that students can immerse themselves in to give them greater knowledge and experience in areas that interest them.
