Covid-19 measures

The university is continuing to develop its plans for the new academic year, considering the latest government advice and guidelines.

Teesside University intends to start the academic year as planned in September 2020 for all students. However, the university plans to adopt a hybrid teaching model. This means students can expect to spend some time learning online and on campus, in line with current UK government social distancing restrictions. Teesside hope to be able to give students the benefits of facilities and resources as a key part of the education experience, but students should also be able to complete parts of the course at a time and a pace that suits them.

Teesside University has a strong track record of innovation in teaching and learning, and its Future Facing Learning approach puts it in a really good place to deliver online elements of study.

For the most current Covid-19 advice and guidance information from Teesside University please visit its dedicated international students FAQs webpage.

Teesside University Students' Union (TUSU) remains closed at present as it continues to follow guidance from both government and the university. It is, however, planning for at least some of its services to be available from early September 2020, and hopes that this can include the SU Welcome Desk and at least one member of the SU Activities team available each day.
