Scholarship introduction
The University of Reading is a public university in Reading, Berkshire, England. It was founded in 1892 as University College, Reading, a University of Oxford extension college. With a reputation for multidisciplinary research and collaborations, the university comprises over 50 research centres, which are recognised centres of excellence, in areas that include agriculture, meteorology, the physical sciences, and European history and culture.
Applicant qualifications
To be eligible for the Scholarship candidates must:
- Apply for and be admitted to a University of Reading undergraduate programme (including Integrated Foundation Year and M level qualifications but excluding Degree Apprenticeship study) commencing in the academic year 2022/23.
- Demonstrate to the University outstanding academic achievement.
- Ensure their admission status is Unconditional Firm, no later than 1700 UK time on 7 September 2022.
- Not already be in receipt of a full tuition fee scholarship (Note also 3.2 below).
- Be classified by the University as an international student for fees purposes4 .
- Have completed all the appropriate degree course admission processes of the University, including the provision of any such evidence of compliance with the Eligibility Criteria and evidence to demonstrate academic achievement as the University may reasonably require.
To be considered for the scholarship, it is necessary to have been offered and accepted admission to the University for an eligible programme of undergraduate study for entry in the academic year 2022/23. 100 scholarships of £4000 each are available to international undergraduate students. For Malaysian students, there will be an allocation of only 5 spots. So, please apply as soon as possible.
