The University of St Andrews, Scotland’s oldest university and the third oldest university, tops over Oxford and Cambridge in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, for the first time in the guide’s 30-year history.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide’s ranking system is based on data sources including National Student Survey (NSS), Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), and the Research Excellence Framework to provide extensive guide to higher education in the UK. According to the editor of the guide, Alastair McCall, St Andrews achievement to top the guide’s institutional table is no easy feat as that, no other university except Oxford and Cambridge topped their domestic ranking of university.
