Essex Student

Intake continues to see the priority of having each and every person vaccinated and fight against the SARS COVID-19 virus. A college in the city of Essex, Colchester Institute has innovated and has taken its precautionary measures as they welcome students back to a brand-new year and a return to face-to-face classes. The same goes with the University of Essex as they are hosting a music event at their Colchester campus and having a virtual welcome to all students from all over the world as everyone goes back to face-to-face classes this October.

A college in Essex has rolled up an NHS Vaccination bus on campus. The executive vice principal Gary Horne of Colchester Institute mentions that they want to do this to be able to lessen the cases of COVID-19 infections as students start to go back to face-to-face classes. These precautionary measures taken by the college allow for lowering the fear of not only parents but also the students who will enter a new normal in the way they learn and do everyday tasks.

A comment of the Vice principal during the interview of the BBC (Scotter & Cawley, 2021) said that it’s wonderful to see students back on site on full timetable and they want to keep it that way.

Students are very happy that they have the confidence to be protected, protect their families, and to keep everyone around them safe and away from harm.

The protection and assurance to everyone in the community is at the top of everyone’s priority list. Like the Colchester Institute, the University of Essex is also welcoming back students from all locations back into campus. The school has organized a ‘Back to Campus Life – Live music at our Colchester Campus.’ This event gives a feel of going back to normal and will also provide artists with an opportunity to perform. This is how the University of Essex is giving back to its community.

The University of Essex also created an online event to welcome all international arrivals. The International Arrival Mixer event allows everyone to have a warm welcome at Essex, where all events are accessible online and different schedules are available on their website.

Everyone is doing their part in lowering the risk of spread and infection of COVID-19 in the whole world. At Intake, we want you to be protected, safe, and be able to go out there and experience what the world has to offer. Just like our partner school the University of Essex, we are doing our part in taking steps to show a breakthrough in how we are learning to live in the new normal.

With this, Intake is hosting a bi-annual event entitled the Study World Exhibition where industry and career-related webinars will be held. During this fair, Intake links Filipino students to university representatives from the UK, US, Australia, and Ireland via free consultations.

The University of Essex will be joining with a webinar entitled “MBA, MBM, and Business Analytics at University of Essex” on October 16, 2021 at 1PM and a one-on-one consultation on October 26, 2021. You may register for the event here:
