About
Concord College is a highly academic international boarding school set in the Shropshire countryside, one hour from the city of Birmingham, England’s second-largest city. Students come from around the world, with approximately 40 nationalities are represented. Concord’s key values of rigour, kindness and creativity are reflected throughout the College.
Academic
Concord promotes a culture of excellence and joyful learning; inquisitiveness and independence of thought are celebrated.
Wellbeing
Students are expected to display mutual respect and to promote harmony, decency and trust. The result is a happy, kind and hard-working community in which students are polite, articulate and conscientious without losing their sense of fun. Tutors oversee the well-being of each student. Boarding students also have boarding parents who provide emotional and practical support. There is a modern and well-equipped medical centre and a dedicated nursing team.
Boarding
Concord is a vibrant and diverse community, a home from home to the over 80% of students who are international boarders. Most students have individual study bedrooms, many with en-suite bathrooms. Meals are eaten in the College dining room where students can select from a variety of international cuisine.
Extra-curricular
A comprehensive enrichment programme encompasses super-curricular opportunities in science, engineering and medicine for example; sports, both competitive and recreational; outdoor activities; arts and crafts provision as well as many student-led societies. There is a well-resourced theatre and music school, an excellent sports centre and indoor swimming pool as well as extensive grounds including sports pitches, tennis courts and a high ropes course.
