About

As a well-regarded boarding school, Lancing College has a strong tradition in welcoming pupils with parents living all over the world. We offer international students a co-educational boarding and day school set in the beautiful South Downs and within an hour of London and close to Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Academic

We support and challenge our brightest academics and encourage the development of the whole person. When pupils leave Lancing, they are happy, confident young adults, self-aware and with a real sense of their place as global citizens. Lancing pupils are young people with their own talents and ambitions; we nurture and expand these skills, inspiring them to excel as individuals.

Wellbeing & Boarding

From the moment that pupils join Lancing they become part of a community and they all benefit from the all-inclusive care and support of a boarding school ethos. Our boarders enjoy a secure environment with plenty of open space and fresh air. Housemasters and mistresses are a focal point of support and communication for both parents and pupils.

Extra-curricular

Learning beyond the classroom is an important part of an education at Lancing. The College offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities to further support the pupils’ learning and personal development outside the academic syllabus. Pupils can choose amongst over 120 activities, clubs and academic societies, including Performing Arts and Sport.

Our Music and Drama departments offer a busy and varied programme of activities including three orchestras, two choirs and A Cappella Club, a musical, House plays and several large cast productions every year.

In Sport we encourage all our pupils, boys and girls, to compete to the best of their ability, from school competitions to national level, or simply recreationally. Hockey, Football, Netball, Tennis, Cricket, Swimming and Horse Riding are amongst the main sports played at Lancing.
