About

Ardingly College is a top UK, Independent Day and Boarding School with a strong academic core. Providing co-educational education from 2-18 years in the beautiful Sussex countryside. Within easy reach of Gatwick/Heathrow Airports and Brighton & London, minutes away from a local train station. Our aim is to prepare students to become World ReadyTM. This is achieved through the curriculum, ‘Life Skills Week’ and from living within the School community.

Academic

We offer GCSE, A Level, International Baccalaureate and BTEC. Our examination results are exceptional, and we are currently ranked in the top 50 for A levels in Independent Schools in the UK and Top 10 UK IB ranking, with a top 20 IB ranking worldwide.  The majority of our leavers go onto top UK/International Universities.

Wellbeing

Caring and well-trained Housemasters/mistresses oversee the pastoral care of the students, supported by a team of tutors who meet in small groups or individually with their tutees. There are informative PHSE days to give students advice around specific subject matter. We have a Medical Centre open 24/7 staffed by trained nurses with specialists in mental health.

Boarding

The house structure gives students a place of community. Lower School boarders share bedrooms which encourages friendships. From Fifth Form they have individual rooms. In the Upper Sixth House, Godwin Hall, boys and girls, day and boarding live together in preparation for independent living at University. All the houses are modern with a shared common room and outdoor space.

There is a busy social programme at the weekend, involving trips/events on and off campus.

Extra-curricular

Ardingly College has an excellent reputation for Music and Sport, particularly Football, Hockey and Swimming. In addition, the Enrichment Programme gives students the opportunity to nurture their talents and engage, explore and develop skills outside of a traditional curriculum.
